Young Leader Award Winner

East Hampton High School student Abby Roden was one of two young women honored with the Shapiro-McCormick Young Leader Award for advocacy, presented to her at the annual Women Achievers Awards Breakfast at the Crest Hollow Country Club on Oct. 8. The breakfast was hosted by the Women’s Fund of Long Island.

As a Young Leader Award winner, Abby addressed the crowd and inspired them as she spoke about her goals. She was given a beautiful award bowl as well as $1,500 to be used toward her service project initiatives.

The Shapiro-McCormick Young Leader Award highlights young women who are making a difference in the lives of other young women in their schools or communities through philanthropy, advocacy or other community service efforts.

Our school and community are very proud of Abby!
