East Hampton students Mia Herrlin, Alana Ellis and Eileen Espana were honored on May 28 at the Long Island Business Teachers Association Annual Awards Luncheon, held at Carlyle at the Palace in Plainview. Alana and Mia received plaques for placing second and fourth in Keyboarding and Business Law, respectively, in the LIBTA competition in April.

Eileen received a $1,000 scholarship in the name of LIBTA founder Ellen Caskey. This award is given to the top business student on Long Island who will be pursuing a business major in college. Eileen will be attending Lehigh University in the fall, where she will enroll in the dual major program of business and computer science.
