Business Students Earn Gold in Virtual Enterprise Contest

Students in Janine Lalia’s Virtual Enterprise class recently participated in the Virtual Enterprise Trade Fair at the Jacob Javitz Center in New York City.

The students earned awards for the beginner level of the HTML coding/web design contest held by the Youth Business Summit, with Bonac Bagel taking the Silver Level and A Little Bite of Everything taking the Gold.

According to the official website of Virtual Enterprises International, the Youth Business Summit is the signature event of VEI, as it offers students multiple opportunities to show what they know. Through the Summit’s three major activities — the Global Business Challenge, the National Business Plan Competition, sponsored by HSBC, and the International Trade Show — students demonstrate their skills, knowledge and diverse talents in entrepreneurship, communications, computer technology and global business management — key components of the VEI program.
