Bonac Bagel Takes Second at Business Plan Competition

Virtual Enterprise students from East Hampton High School recently took part in the 5th annual Long Island Virtual Enterprises Business Plan Competition at Farmingdale State College. The students were tasked with creating a company and producing a commercial to help sell their product.

With their submission to the competition, Bonac Bagel, East Hampton earned second place for their commercial, edited by their “VP of Human Resources” Emma Norris. The company’s virtual website also received a four-star rating by a mystery shopper, placing above average.
 
East Hampton’s Virtual Enterprise class allows students to play the role of employees involved in “on-the-job” work experiences. They participate in sales, marketing and accounting, among other aspects of the business world.
