Middle School Students Give Back

Students at the Middle School collected 1,124 food items for the school's Blizzard Bag Meals on Wheels Food Drive, an initiative taken on by the school's student government. According to faculty adviser Lynn Rudolph, the response was overwhelming this year. Ms. Rudy's grade 6 homeroom took top honors for the most contributions to this wonderful cause; last year, Mr. Ryan's homeroom took the top spot.

Prior to the Thanksgiving break, the eighth-graders gathered together to assemble 13 baskets of Thanksgiving food for local families, working under the leadership of Lea Bryant and Barbara Tracey as part of BONAC on Board to Wellness.

Congratulations to all of our students for helping to give back to the local community. These types of activities are an essential part of the middle school experience, as they teach students lasting life lessons and instill in them good memories.
